England and Australia both are one of the best Cricket nations. Australia toured England for 3 One Day International matches and 3 Twenty 20 International matches. Due to COVID-19, all the matches of Eng vs Aus series were played without an audience. As it sounds uninteresting when Cricket is being played with no crowd to support their teams but again Cricket fans can't ignore any of the contest even without going out to the stadium. A huge number of people enjoyed the series on the TV screens at their homes because safety is the first thing that matters.

The Eng vs Aus series was scheduled to be played in July-2020 but, due to pandemic breakout, it was shifted to September-2020. T20I series was played at Rose Bowl, Southampton, and ODI series was played at Old Trafford, Manchester.

Twenty 20 Internationals

Eng vs Aus T20 series was an interesting one, full of twists but England won the series at the end. David Malan was the main player who performed brilliantly in the T20I series with getting 129 runs and securing the top ranking in the ICC T20I rankings table. Jos Buttler was announced as the player of the series.

1st T20I

After winning the toss, Australia decided to field first in the 1st game of Eng vs Aus T20 series. England placed a target of 163 for Australia. England's score was 162-7 in 20 overs.  While chasing the target, Australia scored 160-6 in 20 overs. England won the match by 2 runs. David Malan was the player of the match.

2nd T20 

After losing the 1st T20I, Australia this time decided to bat first while winning the toss. Australia scored 157-7 in 20 overs. England won the match by 6 wickets scoring 158-4 in 18.5 overs. Jos Buttler was the player of the match.

3rd T20

Australia won the toss and elected to field first. England scored 145-6 in 20 overs. Australia chased the target in 19.3 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. Mitchell Marsh was the player of the contest.

One Day Internationals

Eng vs Aus ODI series was a very interesting one having a lot of turns and twists. Both teams fought for the points of the World Cup Super League. 

1st ODI

England won the toss and elected to field first in the 1st match of the Eng vs Aus series. Australia scored 294-9 in 50 overs with a super performance of Glenn Maxwell 77(59). England failed to chase out the target and scored 275-9 in 50 overs and lost the match by 19 runs. Josh Hazlewood was the player of the match.

2nd ODI 

England batted first after winning the toss and scored 231-9 in 50 overs. Australia all out on 247 in 48.4 overs and lost the match by 24 runs. Jofra Archer was the player of the match.

3rd ODI

It was a series decider. England scored 302-7 in 50 overs with the excellent 112(126) runs by Jonny Bairstow. After a collapse, Australia batted well in the later session. Alex Carey and Glenn Maxwell scored brilliant centuries. Australia scored 305-7 in 49.4 overs and won the series by winning the contest by 3 wickets. Glenn Maxwell was the player of the match and series of course. 

Overview

As a whole, Eng vs Aus series was a good, healthy one between two strong teams. It was full of ups and downs, turns, and twists. In T20I England was on the top. They proved that they are one of the best T20I sides. While in the ODI series, after a tough competition, Australia proved that they are mentally strong. They won the series decider after an interesting contest.
